Hindi Synopsis: Inspired by the ‘Mahabharata’, the film revolves around the Pratap political dynasty where Manoj Bajpayee’s character Veerendra is relegated to the background as the seat of power shifts in the favour of his cousins, Prithvi (Arjun Rampal) and Samar (Ranbir Kapoor). Ajay Devgan whose character of a Dalit leader is similar to Karn’s, helps Veerendra in the battle for supremacy at all costs. There’s a lot about petty Indian politics depicted in the movie that the audience is familiar with, but the cast performances elevate the experience.
